Billing & Renewal
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access to paid features until that date. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods, whether monthly or annual.
Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price increase via email. Your continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing. If you do not accept a price change, you may cancel before it takes effect.
Payment card information is processed and stored by our third-party payment processor. Arithmony does not store your full card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment details on our servers.
Certain features of Arithmony allow you to connect your bank and financial accounts through Plaid Technologies, Inc. ("Plaid"). By using these features, you agree to Plaid's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy in addition to these Terms.
Important: Arithmony is a budgeting and financial tracking tool. It is not a bank, investment adviser, broker-dealer, or financial institution. The Service does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Financial data displayed in the Service is provided for informational purposes only.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against violations of these provisions, including suspension or termination of accounts and referral to law enforcement.
The Service, including all content, features, functionality, design, logos, trademarks, and software, is owned by Arithmony and protected by United States and international intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. This license does not include the right to sublicense, sell, resell, copy, or modify any part of the Service.
You retain ownership of the data you input into the Service (your budget data, notes, and goals). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Arithmony disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
Financial data is sourced from third parties including Plaid and your financial institutions. Arithmony is not responsible for inaccuracies in data provided by these third parties. You should verify important financial information directly with your financial institution.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Arithmony and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
In no event shall Arithmony's total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to Arithmony in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) $50 USD.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Arithmony and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:
You may terminate your account at any time by using the account deletion feature within the Service or by contacting us at support@arithmony.com. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our discretion, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or harmful behavior, or for any other reason we deem appropriate. In cases of material violation, we may terminate without prior notice.
Upon termination, we will delete your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, subject to any legal obligations to retain certain records. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution — will survive.
Informal Resolution
Before filing any formal legal claim, you agree to contact us at legal@arithmony.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will make a good-faith effort to resolve any dispute within 30 days of receiving your notice.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the state in which Arithmony is headquartered, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Arbitration
If informal resolution fails, you and Arithmony agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if your claims qualify.
Class Action Waiver: You and Arithmony agree that each may bring claims against the other only in your or its individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding.
Exceptions
Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of intellectual property rights.
